Returns/Refunds Policy

Protection 4 Hearing are distributors of ACS, Puretone Minerva and PC Werth products whose Returns/Refunds Policies are below.

Due to the customised nature of the products, we cannot except returns of non-faulty products which correspond to their description. Refunds will not be given for custom bespoke products. However, if a product is found to be defective and established to be the cause of the Manufacturer, either a repair will be carried out or replacement product provided in accordance with the Manufacturer's one year warranty. For respective Manfuacturer's Guarantees, Terms and Conditions please see below.

No refunds will be given for ear impressions taken by Protection 4 Hearing after orders have been confirmed as being correct by the respective Manufacturer's Laboratory.

Please note that generic hearing protection and in ear monitor products cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

All costs for returns are the customers responsibility. Protection 4 Hearing take no responsbility for services provided by third party audiologists or postage costs.



Limited 1 Year warranty.

ACS guarantees all custom ACS branded products against defective manufacture, component failure and/or materials for one year from the date of purchase. It would be helpful if you could supply the original invoice number when making a claim under warranty.

Things not covered under warranty are as follows:

- Damage due to abuse
- Cable damage
- Attempts to rectify by unauthorised persons.

ACS will remake any earpiece returned due to poor fit within 30 days of purchase.

We want you to be completely satisfied. If, for any reason, you experience difficulties or are not satisfied with the product or services you recieve from us, please let us know.

Your statutory seven day cooling off period remains unaffected. Costs for return of products are your responsibility.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Puretone Terms & Conditions

Please read carefully. By purchasing Puretone products from this website, you accept the following terms and conditions:

Please note that custom made products cannot be returned for refund.

Puretone may be willing to accept goods for return providing:

(A) goods are returned within seven working days of the date of delivery, and
(B) goods are returned unused in their original packaging with the packaging undamaged.

In order to return a product, a written request by either letter or email must be submitted to Protection 4 Hearing within these 7 days. Protection 4 Hearing recommend you send returns by recorded delivery, as refunds will only be made upon receiving the goods in perfect condition. Protection 4 Hearing and Puretone accept no responsibility for lost or stolen goods during delivery. Protection 4 Hearing and Puretone Ltd will not accept goods for return unless the above conditions are met. Protection 4 Hearing and Puretone reserves the right not to accept goods for return at their sole discretion. None of these terms and conditions affect your Statutory Rights.


Minverva Terms & Conditions

Conditions of Sale

Delivery, Risk and Property:

(a) Delivery occurs when:
(i) The Customer picks up the Goods at Minerva’s registered office or
(ii) Minerva posts the Goods to the Customer.
(b) Every effort will be made to ensure that the Goods will be with you within 10 days of the Impression being taken but no liability for failure to do so will be accepted.
(c)  Time is not of the essence for this contract.
(d) Title to the Goods will pass to the Customer on delivery.
(e) The Goods are at the risk of the Customer from the time of delivery
(f) When the Order is for multiple units Minerva reserves the right to deliver in more than one consignment. Where the goods are delivered in instalments each delivery shall constitute a separate contract and failure by Minerva to deliver any one or more of the instalments in accordance with These Conditions, or any claim by the Customer in respect of any one or more instalments shall not entitle the Customer to treat the contract as a whole as repudiated.

Warranty and Liability:
(a) Unfortunately, due to the customised nature of the Goods, Minerva cannot except returns of non-faulty Goods which correspond to their description.
(b) Minerva will remake any earpiece returned due to poor fit within 30 days of dispatch of goods.
(c) On the customers’ request, Minerva will exchange the filter in any custom made filtered earplug at no additional cost within 30 days of dispatch of goods for a filter with a higher or lower level of attenuation. Filters will only be exchanged for filters with comparable noise reduction characteristics (i.e. LD-filters will only be exchanged for LD-filters, MS-filters will only be exchanged for MS-filters).
(d) Nothing in These Conditions excludes liability for loss arising from fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
(e) Minerva warrants that the Goods
 i) Shall be of satisfactory quality; 
 ii) Shall be fit for purpose.
 iii) Where sold by description match the description
(f) Minerva shall not be liable for any loss howsoever caused arising from a breach of contract, including but not limited to; foreseeable loss, indirect loss, loss of profit as well as damages arising out of the misuse of the Goods. 
(g) The aggregate liability of Minerva (including negligence) or breach of statutory duty or otherwise to the Customer for loss or damage shall be limited to and in no circumstance exceed the price of the Goods.
(h) Subject as expressly provided in These Conditions all warranties, conditions or other terms implied by statute or common law are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
(i) Where the Goods are sold under a consumer transaction (as defined by the Consumer Transactions (Restrictions on Statements) Order 1976), the statutory rights of the Buyer are not affected by These Conditions.

(a) Minerva guarantees all Goods against defective manufacture and/or materials and component failure for one year from the date of purchase. This is in addition to your statutory rights.
(b) This guarantee does not cover:
· Damage due to abuse/neglect
· Attempts to rectify any damage by unauthorised persons
· Blockage due to wax or debris in earpiece
(c) In the event that the Goods have any defects covered by guarantee, the Customer should send them, along with proof of purchase, to Minerva’s registered address and Minerva will replace them free of charge.

(a) Minerva may assign or subcontract the Contract or any part of it and may dispose in any manner with any of its rights or beneficial interests under it.
(b) The Customer may not assign the Contract or dispose of or deal in any manner with any of its rights or beneficial interests under it.

Force Majeure
Minerva shall have no liability in respect of failure or delay in delivery or in the performance of any obligations under the contract due to any cause outside their control, including but not limited to, act of God, fire, floods, war, civil disturbances, riot, act of Government, currency restrictions, industrial disputes, unavailability of materials of failure of supplier, carrier or sub-contractor to deliver on time.

Law and Jurisdiction
This Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


PC Werth Terms & Conditions

Dispatch & Lead Times

Accessories & off the shelf items:

We aim to dispatch promptly as soon as we accept your order. Pre-paid or account-holder orders for stock items received by 12 noon, will usually be dispatched before 4.30pm on the same working day. We will make our best endeavours to meet this commitment, however, if we are not in a position to meet it, we will advise you at time of order.

Non Stock/Special order items:

Non-stock items and special orders will be dispatched as soon as possible – we will advise an anticipated delivery date on acceptance of your order.

Earmoulds and custom products:

Individual ear mould and custom product orders will usually be dispatched in a maximum of 4 days from acceptance of order. Bulk orders are dispatched in not more than 10 days. We will make our best endeavours to meet this commitment, however, if we are not in a position to meet it, we will advise you at time of order.

Instruments, Soundfield and Assembled to order items:

Dispatch of items that are assembled to order depends upon the exact nature of your order and your required delivery dates. We will advise an anticipated delivery date on acceptance of your order.

Exceptional Delay

Occasionally we may encounter delays due to circumstances outside our control. In such eventualities, PC Werth cannot accept any liability for direct or consequential loss in that event.

PC Werth Delivery methods

Small items will be shipped by Royal Mail 1st Class post unless you request next day courier delivery. All larger items are sent by courier, depending on weight.  Please note that for deliveries of over 30Kg weight, special express deliveries, palletized deliveries and specially insured shipments may incur additional charges, subject to quotation.

Overseas customers (non-UK):

Protection4hearing do not sell to customers outside of the UK.

Shipping and Returns:

Returns & RMA Policy / PC Werth RMA System

Product and service quality management is an important aspect of PC Werth Ltd. For this reason, PC Werth Ltd operates an RMA (Returned Materials Authorisation) system. All deliveries should be checked carefully on arrival. 

All agreed returnable items from UK customers must be returned within 21 days of date of dispatch. Protection4hearing do not sell to overseas customers.

Items ordered due to the customer’s error may be accepted, subject to prior agreement in writing with our Sales team, but in all cases items must be complete, in as-new condition and correctly packed for shipment.  Unsaleable items will not be credited.  A re-stocking fee will usually apply, to cover our labour and material costs in checking and re-warehousing.  All associated postage and packing charges are non-refundable.

Items ordered specially for a customer (that do not form part of our normal stock) or are custom-made at the customer’s request, are not returnable and cannot be credited except where a manufacturing or material fault is identified.


Returned items will be examined on receipt and PC Werth Ltd reserves the right to refuse credit if we cannot identify a fault with the items.  All returned items may be subject to a re-stocking charge of 10% of the standard trade price, to cover examination, testing, cleaning, quality assurance and re-packaging. The PC Werth minimum re-stocking fee is £5.00 + VAT.

Proof of Delivery

Until returned items are received by Protection 4 Hearing or PC Werth, such items remain the customer’s responsibility. In the rare case that items become lost in transit or in case of dispute, PC Werth reserves the right to insist on signed proof of delivery (POD) as proof of receipt by PC Werth. While incidence of postal and courier error are low, we cannot accept proof of dispatch as proof of receipt, and recommend that customers use standard mail services for packages of appropriate value.

Packing & Damage in Transit

Protection 4 Hearing and PC Werth accepts no liability for loss or damage to customers’ returned goods in transit. Customers are advised to ensure goods are properly packed and insured before dispatch, using a proof of delivery service.


PC Werth Warranties

All PC Werth products are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty from date of invoice, valid against defects in workmanship or materials (unless otherwise stated), for UK customers (Protection 4 Hearing do not sell to customers outside of the UK). PC Werth will repair or replace items under warranty at our discretion. Damage caused by accident, misuse, improper or unauthorised handling, modification, repair, or negligence is excluded.

PC Werth Warranty Durations

Earmould & custom noise filters: 14 days from invoice (filter inserts: 1 year).
Audiological Instruments, accessories and supplies: 1-2 years subject to manufacturer’s guidance.
Soundfield systems: 5 years.
Accessories and supplies: 0-2 years, dependent on product.

Workmanship: 6 months from invoice (please note: calibration accuracy cannot be warranted after dispatch)

PC Werth can arrange extended warranties for extra peace of mind. Please contact our Sales Department.

PC Werth Colours and images shown are indicative only. Due to variations in printing and screen processes we cannot guarantee an exact colour match with that shown in illustrations and photographs. Specifications are correct at date of publication. PC Werth reserves the right to amend products and specifications without notice, whilst retaining the original fitness of purpose, therefore the appearance of products may differ from that shown.


PC Werth Ltd liability is limited to repair, replacement or refund of the price paid. PC Werth will not, in any circumstances, be liable for damages, compensation, expenses or losses, whether direct or consequential.

The Quality Management System of PC Werth Ltd has been approved by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Ltd to BS EN ISO 9001for the manufacture of earmoulds and noise protection, the supply, testing, service, calibration and final inspection of hearing aids, equipment and instrumentation for audiology, hearing care and conservation, noise and personal vibration measurement and environmental monitoring, and to BS EN ISO 13485 for the manufacture of earmoulds and noise protection, supply testing service calibration and final inspection of hearing aids, equipment and instrumentation for audiology, hearing care and conservation.

As a producer and supplier to the Business to Business market, PC Werth are committed to the protection of the environment and therefore the successful implementation of the WEEE regulations. We are a registered producer of WEEE and a member of an approved Compliance scheme operated by Valpak PLC.
